Churches are open places of silence

You may step inside a church to seek silence, to pray, or simply to catch your breath. Everyone is welcome. Some are touched by the light falling through the windows, others come with an intention, lighting a candle or just needing a quiet moment to themselves.

Church buildings also hold centuries of history: they invite you to admire art and architecture, to discover the stories of the local community or to feel a sense of connection with those who came before us.

For a pilgrim on the way, a church is more than a stop along the route. It is a place where you can set down your backpack, literally and figuratively. A space to give thanks for the journey so far, to find strength for the steps ahead, and to meet people whose paths may cross your own.You may step inside a church to seek silence, to pray, or simply to catch your breath.
